Names shaped by your brief. Domains checked by a provider.
FindNameNow brings name generation and live domain checks into one workflow — while keeping it clear where each piece of information comes from.
Why checking the domain late is a problem
Most naming sessions produce a favorite first and check the domain last. By then the team is attached to the name, and an unavailable or premium-priced .com means starting over, compromising on a weaker variation, or paying far more than planned. FindNameNow moves the domain check to the same moment you see the idea, so you only spend time on names you can actually register.
Step by step
What happens when you press “Find name ideas”
01
You describe what you are naming
Write one or two sentences about the business, product or app: what it does, who it serves and the feeling the name should carry. Optionally add an industry and audience. With credits you can also choose a style, the name language, words to include or avoid, maximum length, word count, up to four extensions and price limits.
02
AI generates candidates
An AI model returns candidate names with a short rationale and a suggested pronunciation. Every candidate is validated before it moves on: names that break your length, word or character rules, or that you rejected earlier in the same project, are removed.
03
The provider checks each domain
Remaining domains are checked with a live domain provider for availability and price. Only domains confirmed as available with a first-year price in USD — and within your price limits — appear in the results, together with the time of the check and the renewal price when provided.
What you see in the results
Each result shows the name, the exact domain, why the name fits your brief, how to say it, the first-year and renewal price and when it was checked. You can copy the domain, open the registrar, save the name to a project as a favorite, or reject it so it does not come back in that project. Results stay in your private history.
Keep the sources in view
The AI suggests names; the domain provider supplies availability and pricing. Neither is a trademark review, a reservation or a guarantee that a domain will still be available later. Before you buy, confirm the status and the renewal terms with the registrar, and research trademarks in the markets where you plan to operate.
Free and paid searches
A free search runs once every 24 hours, needs no account and checks .com domains. A paid search costs one credit from a one-time pack, returns more suggestions and unlocks every filter. If no domain passes your filters, the reserved credit is released automatically — you only use credits on searches that return results. If something fails on our side, nothing is charged and your free search is returned. Compare credit packs.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a search take?
Most searches finish in 15 to 45 seconds. Generating names and checking each domain with the provider happen in sequence, and you can leave the page — results are saved in your history.
Which domain extensions can I check?
Free searches check .com. Paid searches can check up to four extensions per search from the list the domain provider currently supports, such as .com, .io, .co, .app or .ai.
Why do I get fewer results than the maximum?
Only domains confirmed as available, priced in USD and within your filters are shown. Many generated names have taken or premium domains, so a search can return fewer suggestions than the limit.
Does FindNameNow register or reserve the domain?
No. We show a point-in-time availability check and the provider's listed price. You register the domain yourself with a registrar, and availability can change in the meantime.
Is my brief private?
Yes. Searches are private to your session or account and are never published. Your brief is processed by the AI provider to generate names, and candidate domains are sent to the domain provider for checking.
